Friday 7th November 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have had a great week welcoming our students and staff back to St Seton’s following the midterm break. November is a really busy month in St Seton’s with a lot of themed weeks to celebrate. It’s also a month of remembrance and a time in the liturgical calendar where we remember with love those who have gone before us.
Thank you and well done to all the staff, students and parents/guardians who coordinated and celebrated our Stand Up Week Celebrations this week. We are proud of St Seton’s as a school that celebrates everyone and takes pride in being a safe place for all individuals to be their true authentic selves.
In this week’s Principal’s Bulletin, you will find the usual mix of information and events that I hope you will find both useful and practical.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Sarah Green
Principal
Pathways & Possibilities Week:
Our annual Pathways and Possibilities Week will take place next week. This is a week where we celebrate the various Progression Pathways for our students when they finish and progress on from St Seton’s. There are some inspirational guest speakers and organisations coming in and students will have the opportunity to sign up to attend these talks. Our Annual Awards Night takes place during this special week and we look forward to hosting our Student Award Winners and their families on this special occasion where Dr Katriona O’Sullivan from Maynooth University will attend as our Keynote Speaker alongside Barry O’Loughlin, co-founder of Nostra. On Wednesday, the annual Trade Fair will take place and all students will have an opportunity to attend. Please encourage your son / daughter to attend each day during Pathways and Possibilities week and remind them, it is never too early to begin thinking about their Progression Pathways after School!
Science Week:
Science Week runs in St Seton’s from 10th – 14th November and the Science Department have a range of activities planned for all student to participate in!
Staff Training – Thursday 13th November
There is a day of Staff Training on Child Protection Procedures on Thursday, 13th November. There will be no classes for students on this day as all staff are obliged to attend the training. I apologise for any inconvenience. The Calendar for 25/26 is attached here and I encourage you to consult it regularly for upcoming important school dates. (Please note the date of the Annual Awards Night is incorrect on this calendar as it had to be changed to facilitate the Keynote Speaker).
Nasal Flu Vaccine
The HSE have asked us to circulate information on the Nasal Flu Vaccine. Please view the relevant information by clicking this link. There will be a Nasal Flu Clinic in St Seton’s on a date in November.
Please complete the short online consent form if you wish to register your child: Register for Nasal Flu Vaccine
Update on Draft Policy for Students’ Use of Toilets
A new DRAFT policy for Students’ Use of Toilets has been prepared. Thank you to all the parents / guardians who engaged with the consultation process. I am attaching here a copy of the analysis of the parents / guardians feedback for your review which has informed the direction of the new policy.
The new draft policy has been shared with staff today for feedback and will be shared with parents/guardians in my weekly email next Friday.

- Nostra Next Mentoring – Thank you to Ms Keeler and to Nostra for the fantastic opportunity of the Nostra mentoring programme for our Senior students. Their first mentoring session took place in the Nostra Buildings in Park West on Thursday and was incredibly successful. The students thoroughly enjoyed it and were very motivated to engage with the mentoring programme into the future.
Friday Reflection – In November, We Remember
In this month of November, designated for memory and reflection, we hold in our hearts all those who have passed away, whether their absence is recent or long ago. We acknowledge the unique grief that accompanies their anniversary, carrying the warmth of the light they brought into our lives even as we mourn the darkness of their loss. May our sustained remembrance be a meaningful tribute to their enduring legacy, and may we find comfort in the love that remains.
